Payments with Stripe

We partner with Stripe to provide a simple and secure method of accepting payments. Create a Stripe account by navigating to Site → Settings → Payments. You may use your existing Stripe login, but the onboarding will set you up with a special “Fontdue” Stripe account that is separate from your existing Stripe account. Stripe makes it straightforward to switch between your accounts in the dashboard.

The integration automatically collects a 5% fee on each sale.

Payment methods

Our Stripe Integration allows you to use the full range of Stripe’s payment methods, for example Apple Pay, iDEAL for Netherlands customers, etc. You may choose which payment methods you would like to accept in your Stripe dashboard.

The integration uses Stripe’s Payment Element with “automatic payment methods” enabled. That means that Stripe will decide which payment methods are appropriate to display to the customer during checkout based on the options you have accepted, the country the customer is in, their device, etc.

PayPal

Stripe has added preliminary support for PayPal, but unfortunately not yet for our specific integration which is “Connect with Direct Charges” as shown in their documentation.
